Biréli Lagrène is considered one of the world’s premiere practitioners of manouche jazz. Following in the footsteps of legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt, music has always been Lagrène’s language, and from a very young age was considered a child prodigy on the guitar. Lagrène was born in Alsace, France and is known as one of the most influential European jazz guitarists of the past few decades. He has been an active live performer since the 1970s and has graced the stage with countless other greats, like Benny Goodman, Stéphane Grappelli, Al Di Meola, Paco de Lucía, John McLaughlin, and many, many more
