Czech That Film series co-produced by ELMA foundation is a carefully curated selection of recent Czech cinema. Now in its eleventh year, it is the largest Czech cultural event in the United States, bringing the most influential and finest films from the Czech Republic to American audiences. Scheduled from May 13 until May 22, 2022, instead of its traditional format that would reach 20 cities, while still addressing ongoing pandemic concerns, Czech That Film is going partially online.

In Los Angeles an in-person opening ceremony will take place on May 13, at and in cooperation with the Théâtre Raymond Kabbaz, to celebrate cinema and bring people together at the physical screenings, which remain a cornerstone of the festival's mission. The Grand Opening of the festival will present the captivating stop-motion Annecy selected Even Mice Belong in Heaven (dir. Jan Bubeníček, Denisa Grimmová, 2021, 80 minutes, in English).
